Guests using wheelchairs may enter by way of the elevators at the east and west ends of the Grandstand, the ramp at the west end of the Grandstand near the elevator, or the Grandstand Ramp from Carnes Avenue. If you’d like to use an elevator, we recommend the larger elevator on the west end. Accessible seating is available in the plaza and elevated mainstand sections. A limited number of bariatric chairs are available; requests should be made at time of ticket purchase. For further information, call 651-288-4427.
Everyone entering the fairgrounds must present a valid ticket of admission, including those attending Grandstand concerts. Concert tickets do not include admission to the fair.
ASL interpreting is available upon request for the Grandstand Concert Series. To purchase Grandstand tickets in the ASL interpretation section, please call Etix (800-514-3849) or the State Fair Ticket Office (651-288-4427), or purchase in-person at the State Fair Ticket Office beginning Aug. 1. Ticket purchases in the ASL interpretation section (Riser 1) must be made at least 14 days prior to the concert.
Assistive listening devices are available free of charge for use during Grandstand events. Receivers and headsets are available from the Guest Services desk on the east side of the Grandstand Plaza. A valid driver’s license or state ID and a credit card are required for deposit.
With the exception of the Amateur Talent Contest finals, audio and video recording equipment is not allowed in the Grandstand. Contact the ticket office at 651-288-4427 for information concerning still photography at specific shows.
Cash machines are available on the fairgrounds with locations just outside of Grandstand entrances and inside the venue at the east and west ends of the plaza seating area.
The Minnesota State Fair places a delay on the delivery of tickets purchased online for Grandstand show on-sales. To ensure everyone is given a fair shot, we delay the delivery of tickets so we can check for orders placed by bots or orders that did not adhere to ticket limits.
Ticket delivery delays may be different among Grandstand shows and due to artist requests. Please check your confirmation email for information regarding the timeline for tickets to be delivered or available to print at home.
Weather permitting, fireworks follow each evening’s Grandstand show. Starting times vary, but fireworks shows generally start between 10 and 11 p.m. For your safety, please remain seated during the fireworks.
Minor injuries and ailments are treated at the first aid booth (look for the red cross) located at the east end of the Grandstand Plaza level near the elevator. In the event of serious illness or injury, contact an usher for assistance.
Food, drinks, beer and artist merchandise are available for purchase within the Grandstand venue. Beer will be served until approximately one hour before the scheduled conclusion of the performance. IDs will be checked for beer sales. Coolers are not allowed.
Select Grandstand shows have general admission tickets available. General Admission is ground level and does not have chairs. If you purchase these tickets, you will be standing throughout the show.
Ticket holders may enter the seating area at the east or west end of the Grandstand. All patrons are subject to search. (Wheelchair patrons, refer to “Accessible Seating.”) Doors open 60-minutes or 90-minutes prior to show start time. For details on each performance, please reference your tickets.

Print-at-Home is an electronic method of delivery from our ticketing partner, Etix. Print-at-Home tickets are sent electronically via email with instructions on how to print the purchased tickets. All Print-at-Home Grandstand concert tickets can be printed before arriving or scanned from a patron’s mobile device.
Mobile Tickets
Mobile ticketing is an electronic method of delivery from our ticketing partner, Etix. This option is available after selecting the Print-at-Home delivery method. By choosing this delivery method, ticket holders have an opportunity to send tickets via SMS, Email or Save Image on Camera Roll. Learn more about transferring mobile tickets.

No refunds or exchanges. If the concert is delayed due to weather or any other circumstance, no refunds will be issued. If the concert is rescheduled or canceled, Etix will email refund details to ticket buyers, including information that those who purchased using a credit card will automatically receive a refund to the credit card used at the time of purchase. Ticket holder agrees to comply with all Minnesota State Fair policies and protocols (including health, safety and security) in place at the time of the State Fair, and acknowledges that policies and protocols may be updated between time of ticket purchase and the State Fair, as the State Fair finalizes its plans.
Most Grandstand show seating is reserved, unless advertised as general admission. Seating consists of plaza seats (folding chairs) and elevated mainstand seats (theater-style).
Permanent restrooms are located inside the Grandstand with entrances into the building at row 10 (second floor Grandstand). Restrooms are also available at the east and west end of the plaza. All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Consumer Warning – The Minnesota State Fair uses barcode scanning for Grandstand ticket admissions. As a result, fans should be careful when purchasing tickets to make certain the seller is a Minnesota State Fair licensed ticketing agent.
Etix is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent besides the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office. If you purchase tickets from an unauthorized agent or third party in the secondary market (ticket broker, eBay, Craigslist, etc.), you risk purchasing counterfeit or invalid tickets which may result in refusal of admission. We are not able to assist with tickets purchased from an unauthorized agent, third party or on the secondary market, and no refunds will be issued.
Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes and vape pens is permitted on the plaza level of the east and west ends behind the white lines. Marijuana smoking is prohibited throughout the fairgrounds. Ask any usher for further direction.
Based on the ticket buyer’s geographic location, Grandstand ticket delivery method options may vary. The Minnesota State Fair or the Grandstand artist reserves the right to restrict delivery methods. The print-at-home, mail or will call options may not be available at all times.
When purchasing tickets for a Grandstand show, each person is limited to a specified number of tickets for each show. The ticket limit is posted during the purchase process online. This limit can change from show to show per the artist’s request. In the event it is determined an individual exceeded the ticket limit, orders in excess of that limit will be canceled. All patrons who are in the Grandstand must be prepared to produce a valid ticket at the request of State Fair personnel. Please retain your ticket until the conclusion of the performance.

To transfer mobile tickets:
If you selected “Print-At-Home” when you purchased your tickets, your tickets are in your email inbox. You may print these or take a screenshot of the tickets to share to other members of your party, if you did not provide a phone number to also receive your tickets via SMS text. Each person attending a Grandstand show will be required to have their own ticket in hand when entering and exiting the venue, as well as to reenter their seating area.
LED screens will be utilized on both sides of the stage.
All concerts go on, rain or shine. Concert bookings do not allow for refunds or exchanges in the event of rain. If weather appears threatening, please bring jackets or ponchos. Use of umbrellas is prohibited at the Grandstand.

Minnesota State Fair officials have created an extensive Grandstand inclement weather plan. Patrons should listen to announcements made from the Grandstand stage, watch the large LED screens on either side of the stage for instructions.
If officials deem it necessary to relocate concert patrons from the Grandstand concert venue due to severe weather, you will be asked to proceed to the nearest exit, go all the way down the stairs and seek shelter inside the Grandstand building. Save your ticket for re-entry after receiving the all-clear.

For all ticketed Grandstand events, all children two years of age and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of two will be allowed entry without a ticket, however, they are required to sit on the lap of a ticket holder.
Will Call is located at the east Grandstand Plaza. Will Call windows open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled event and will generally remain open until the start of the headliner’s performance. Once the ticket office has closed during an event, all unclaimed tickets are taken to the gate at the main entrance of the Grandstand for the convenience of late arrivals. Will Call tickets will only be released to the person whose name appears on the Will Call envelope or whose name was provided in the sales transaction. No tickets designated for another person will be released without prior authorization. Proper photo identification is required (valid driver’s license or passport) in order to claim your tickets. Your order confirmation number and purchasing credit card may also be required. A signature from the person authorized to pick up the order will be obtained at the time tickets are claimed.
